The Fiddler
The ‘Fiddler’, Fibretronic’s unique, patented five function mini joystick controller offers a fresh alternative to keypad controllers for soft and textile based applications. The Fiddler can be used to control any type of electronic device, for example when it used as an audio controller the functions (play, rewind, fast forward, volume up, volume down) are simply operated by toggling the soft rubber stick.
The joystick gives a positive ‘click’ feedback with each activation, making it the most intuitive soft control system available on the market.
The Fiddler can be supplied in a range of shapes, colours and designs to compliment the styling of the finished product. The Fiddler can also be welded underneath the outer fabric of the finished product allowing for seamless integration into the final article. When combined with custom screen printed graphics applied to the product's outer fabric, a highly visual impact can be achieved.
The Fiddler is suitable for incorporation into a broad range of textile or soft products and it can be seen this year in ground-breaking garments and accessories from brands such as Levi Strauss and O'Neill. The Fiddler control system can be supplied in both ‘wired’ and wireless formats.
In addition to audio controls, it can be used as a five function switch or controller to interface with any type of electronic device. It offers a compact and easy to implement solution compared to the more conventional flat style keypad systems.
