PTT Systems
The Fibretronic's PTT (Push-to-Talk) system is a unique communications interface for operation of consumer and professional 2-way radio handsets. The system is designed as a handsfree accessory and incorporates a microphone, speaker, push-to talk switch and an interface circuit enclosed within a weatherproof soft fabric module.
The module is Velcro backed and can be be attached to a garment, bag or other soft goods product using a mating Velcro pad applied to the product. Via a flying lead, the PTT module connects to the 2-way radio handset which can then be stowed safely away in a pocket of the garment or bag.
The module is shaped to suit the host product allowing it to fit cleanly and comfortably onto a purpose designed attachment location, for example on the storm flap of a jacket or on the strap of a backpack. The modular format allows the system to be easily removed and transferred to another product that has a matching attachment point.
This product is compatible with all the major professional hand held radios as well as consumer FRS radios for sports use. Please see our News pages for further information on commercial applications of this product.
