ToBe Technology Launch iPod Control Module for Garments.
Fibretronic's Fiddler joystick system has been developed into a module designed for the easy attachment / detachment of the controller to clothing and soft goods. The joystick module developed for ToBe Technology, a Swedish manufacturer of snow sports clothing, has a Velcro covered base allowing it to attach to a garment via a mating Velcro pad. ToBe has applied the Velcro pad attachment points to the sleeves of a range of performance snow jackets in its Winter 07/08 product range.
Fibretronic has packaged the joystick module together with the iPod interface electronics in a blister pack for retail sale, allowing ToBe's customers to purchase the control system separately to the garment. This gives their customers the flexibility to interchange the control system between different garments in ToBe's product range.
The iPod control module is on sale this season in Europe and North America.
