Fibretronic at Smart Fabrics 2009
A broad group of industry and academic delegates were present for a lecture given by Fibretronic CEO Steve Leftly, at the 5th Annual Smart Fabrics Conference in March. This is the worlds largest forum for the smart textiles, interactive apparel and associated technologies industry and was held this year in Rome, Italy.
"This is a prestigious event and we are always excited to be able to speak about Fibretronic technologies to the world's biggest players in the apparel and textile technology sector" says Mr. Leftly. The conference attracts a wide range of international expert speakers and Fibretronic gave the audience a unique insight of technology and markets from its position as the world's leading developer and manufacturer or wearable electronics.
Delegates from global brands such as Adidas, Philips, Louis Vuitton, Puma, Beiersdorf and Dow Corning made up the multi-disciplinary audience with commercial stakes in the future of electronic textile technologies. The conference had a record attendance despite the challenging economic climate, a positive indication of the importance of this sector for future growth.
