O'Neill Selects Fibretronic for H4 Series.
Fibretronic's unique electronic product solutions are featured once again in O'Neill Europe's latest collection of wearable electronic snowboard garments. The H4 Series for Fall/Winter 07/08 includes the 'Ent Jacket', the 'Push To Talk Jacket' and the 'Fat Controller Glove' all using Fibretronic technologies.
The H4 'Ent Jacket' incorporates Fibretronic's 'Fiddler' joystick iPod control system on the sleeve of this high performance snowboard jacket. The joystick is seamlessly integrated into the jacket sleeve by ultrasonic welding to retain the high water resistance rating of the jacket. The Ent Jacket is available in men's and women's styles.
The H4 'Push To Talk Jacket' incorporates Fibretronic's Push-to-Talk (PTT) technology on the storm flap of the snowboard jacket for the remote operation of two-way radios. Fibretronic's PTT Module is a soft self-contained unit with a built-in microphone, speaker and push-to-talk switch. The Module connects to consumer FRS radios as well as professional handsets and it allows the wearer to communicate without needing to use the radio handset. The PTT Module can be placed in a convenient location for the wearer on a jacket or bag allowing the radio handset to be stowed safely away in an internal pocket.
The storm flap of the H4 Push To Talk Jacket has been specially designed by O'Neill with a compartment to house the PTT Module. The radio handset can be stowed in the external chest pocket where it connects to the PTT Module via a flying lead. For more information about Fibretronic's PTT technologies see the Product pages on this website.
