Fibretronic Signs China Distribution Agreement.
January 2010 - Fibretronic has signed a deal worth more than US$500k with Shanghai Shenjiu Textile Science & Technology Co. (SSTS) to enable them to distribute Fibretronic's products in mainland China. SSTS will distribute Fibretronic’s range of branded products and technologies including CONNECTEDwear™, HEATwear™ and i-Lume™ systems for use in textile and apparel applications across China. Other custom designed products from Fibretronic will also be utilised in Chinese government funded technology projects in the Shanghai region.
"We are very excited to be working with SSTS to introduce our technologies to the world’s largest consumer market’ said Steve Leftly, CEO, Fibretronic Limited. ‘This allows us to accelerate the uptake of our products by Chinese brands by working with an experienced partner company".
Shanghai Shenjiu Textile Science & Technology Co. is a spin out company from DongHua University dedicated to smart textiles and garment technologies. SSTS aim to develop the Chinese market for high tech apparel product through their strong links with the Garment Industry and Government Textile R&D.
